Was he?

Behavioural Training and Development

Genghis Khan, the great Mongolian emperor who swept across the world, has many stories, fictions and legends build around him. We are not even touching one of them today.

We discuss perception here, and the automatic judgement that comes along with it. Just about a few minutes before I started to write this blog my automatic perception around Genghis Khan was, he practiced Islam. No one told me that but it was an automatic judgement, based on the perception of his surname, which has got translated into a belief.

For people still wondering like me, he practiced Tengrism or Shamanism. Forms of Christianity, Buddhism and Islam were prevelant, and he was tolerant to every religion.

If you thought it ended here , it did not. Kublai Khan another great emperor, also did not practice Islam, he was a Buddhist.

See, how my perception was shaped just about a few minutes ago. I am sure I still carry a lot of them even now. I am also sure I would want to get rid of them. I am more than sure that I am looking at all of your help to do that.
